The YouTube Effect

Social Media is one of those things that people either seem to love it or hate it. The naysayers seem to feel like it is a waste of time or that they don’t have enough time to “get into social media”. Others argue that social media cannot replace nor serve as a platform for building relationships. No different than when the radio, TV, and the telephone came out. Many argued that they detracted from the face to face and would never hit mainstream and that you couldn’t really connect with people, in a meaningful way, through technology.

On the other hand, all of us, as a world community, had the opportunity of participating in the lives of individuals who shared some of the most memorable and paramount experiences of their lives through social media. Rather than it being a question of having enough time for social media, it is, in reality, a question of how deep of a relationship would you like with your friends. Social media will bring you into the lives of your friends more than you probably ever imagined and invite you to get to know more people.
